2026 Tire Rack SCCA Red Hills National Tour

Spence Field

About this event

If you are looking to experience the best sites, the best courses, and the best competition – either in preparation for Solo Nationals or to see where you stand against the best – The Tire Rack® SCCA Solo® National Tour is for you.

Known as "The Road to Lincoln,” each National Tour event is run in a similar format to the season-ending National Championships in Lincoln Nebraska. National Tour events prepare drivers for their National Championship and typically offer tougher competition than Regional autocross events.

These events average more than 250 drivers at each of the various locations across the country with most of the competitors coming from nearby states. These drivers come together to get a taste of the "Nationals" experience of competition and camaraderie.

National Tour competition takes place over two days with a different course each day, just like Solo Nationals. Drivers get three runs on each course with their best time from each added together for the final class standings. Runs are timed to 1/1000th of a second and knocking a cone down means a penalty of 2 seconds added to that time. All classes at National Tours are the standard Solo classes that you’ll find at Solo Nationals and in the SCCA in the Solo Rulebook.

Are you new to SCCA® National Tours—or maybe it’s been a while since you last competed on the national stage? The Driver’s Edge Experience – Powered by Starting Line is designed to help you shift confidently into gear at the Red Hills National Tour.

This immersive, weekend-long experience pairs you with a team of accomplished autocross veterans who remember exactly what it felt like to roll up to the start line for their first national-level runs. They’re here to make sure your focus stays where it belongs: on driving, not on wondering what comes next.

You’ll get a clear, behind-the-scenes look at how a Tire Rack SCCA National Tour event works—from navigating the event information page and understanding run/work order and assignments, to mastering grid procedures, impound, and the resources available at the driver’s information center. In short, we’ll give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to take on the weekend without the intimidation factor that often comes with something new.

Throughout the weekend, our championship-level coaches will be right there with you—checking in regularly, stopping by grid before your run heat, answering questions as they come up, and offering support and encouragement every step of the way. Think of them as your autocross “big sibling” for the weekend.

Participation in the Driver’s Edge Experience – Powered by Starting Line is just $20 for the weekend, and you’ll also score some exclusive swag at the first couple of huddles. If you’re new to National Solo® events—or simply want a smoother, more confident National Tour experience—we strongly encourage you to sign up.

For more information about the Driver’s Edge Experience – Powered by Starting Line, or other Starting Line programs, please contact Tracy Lewis at tlewis@scca.com.

Evolution Performance Driving School will be hosting their Evo Advantage Driving School on Friday morning. This school is great for any skill level, from seasoned veterans to the complete novice, and allows participants to get some great seat time as well as instruction before the weekend's competition. Instruction will take place on the event's Test & Tune course and is a scaled-down version of their Phase 1 School. The program will net students a minimum of 12 runs with Evo's team of National-caliber instructors.

The Evo Advantage Driving School is limited to 24 students and is $125.00. Two-driver cars are allowed, just make sure to enter the other driver's name in your entry when asked.

For more information about the Evo Advantage Driving School, as well as other Evolution Performance Driving Schools, please contact Mike "Junior" Johnson at mike@epdsinc.com

You can take part in both the Evo Advantage Driving School and the Driver's Edge Experience - Powered by Starting Line; OR you can take part in one or the other.  Make sure the correct entries show up in your cart when checking out.

Neither the Driver's Edge Experience - Powered by Starting Line nor the Evo Advantage Driving School are required to attend the National Tour. They are additional offerings to help drivers maximize their weekend.
